My son Tom, and I have used the LINK service since Tom was a baby and first referred to a variety of disability services. As a mum of a little boy with disabilities, who doesn't drive, LINK has been an absolute life saver for us. Tom is now 5, and still has lots of appointments in a variety of out of the way places, and LINK is still there to save the day with their wonderful, friendly drivers (who Tom loves!) and ever efficient service. - Nancy, Marlborough

 

To whom it may concern. Before 2010 I always used LINK transport every Monday to go to the post office and bank, as I cannot walk very far owing to dead feet from diabetes. Then in late 2010 my husband was very ill with cancer and we both used LINK to travel to hospitals each week. Anything up to three times a week for treatments for Chemo etc. We have not missed a week in five years, and all the drivers have been kind and helpful. Helping me with my husband and also waiting – sometimes a lengthy wait – and return us home. Without the help of LINK I just would not know how we would manage. In mid-June we started back for more treatment and we thank all the drivers for their help and kindness. They are so friendly they deserve a medal for patience. What can I say in praise of LINK? Over the last four years I have had to use LINK almost every week, and sometimes three or four times. The organisers have always been more than helpful. The drivers are kind and considerate. Now my husband is poorly as we will have to ask for more help than ever and I am sure LINK will oblige.
